Gingival Bleeding in Children: Causes and Treatments by Mohammed Karimi in IPDOAJ - Lupinepublishers
Some parents may be confronted with gingival bleeding of their
children, but they feel indifferent to it because they feel that this is
normal. They should know that there are several reasons for it, but
the most important is the” periodontal disease”. Gingival bleeding
is one of the common symptoms of periodontal disease. Gingival
bleeding is often due to the lack of proper removal of plaque from
the teeth in the gum line, which leads to gingival inflammation.
However, bleeding in the gums may be associated with serious
illnesses, such as leukemia and disruption of coagulation and
platelet disorders. In these conditions, it is usually easy to bleed
or bruise anywhere in the body.
